The Harrison & Harrison pipe organ at the former St Anne’s Church in Ynyshir was recently reported on ITV News as being “way beyond repair”. However, one week of work saw this organ back in (mostly) working condition.

The bulk of the work was spent freeing up the action, treating woodworm, and cleaning up mold and mildew caused by the building having been shut up for many years (but is now being used by a community group).

A day was spent getting most of the pedal Bourdon working before the organ was tuned.

The organ is now ready to serve at community events and for visiting organists to play.
