The 1889 W.G.Vowles pipe organ in St Teilo’s church Llantilio Crossenny, which is hidden away in the bottom of the central tower, had been unusable for many years.

However, after only a couple of days work I was able to bring this little gem back into service thanks to a grant from the charity Pipe Up For Pipe Organs.

Relatively minor work on the blower and wind system got the organ functioning again. Some cleaning and other minor repairs were then carried out before tuning the organ.

The organ is now back in use accompanying services, and is available for visitors to the church to play.
